Esselte announced today that it has acquired Ampad, a leading North
American manufacturer of nationally branded and private label office and
stationery products. Ampad, which has its headquarters in Richardson,
Texas develops, manufactures and markets innovative and high quality
products in the four major categories of writing, filing, envelopes and
designer paper.
Ampad is a strategic addition to Esselte’s branded office products
business and an expansion for Esselte into the writing and envelope
product categories. The acquisition is part of Esselte’s strategy to
strengthen its core categories and expand its market and global reach.
“This is an exciting opportunity for our company, as we continue our
global expansion in office products” said Gary Brooks, Chief Executive
Officer of Esselte. “We look forward to working with the Ampad team and
our customers in order to ensure a seamless transition into one
progressive business.”
